The honeysuckle is in the family of Caprifoliaceae which is also the honeysuckle family.

So actually honeysuckle is actually in the honeysuckle family but it's also known as the Caprifoliaceae family.

The honeysuckle is a clade of dicotyledonous flowering plants consisting of about 860 species in 42 genera, with a nearly cosmopolitan distribution.

Also for those that do not know about it.

You can eat honeysuckles as honeysuckles are a delicious and edible flower plant.

The flowers of the honeysuckle plant have a sweet nectar that is delicious, but that is the only part of the plant you should eat.
