As long as the nutty peanut butter does not contain any xylitol you can safely feed the dog nutty peanut butter or any other peanut butter that does not contain xylitol.

The ingredient xylitol is a natural occurring substance that is safe for human consumption however the xylitol which is a sweetener is harmful and toxic to dogs.

So as long as you make sure the nutty peanut butter or any other peanut butter is free of any xylitol the dog can safely eat the peanut butter.

I would however avoid feeding the dog anymore than 2 spoonfuls of peanut butter per day because the dog might get an upset stomach or get diarrhea from eating too much peanut butter.

However in small quantities the peanut butter is healthy and contains protein that your dog needs to stay healthy.
