Most commonly when you eat bad eggs you'll get stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting and possible diarrhea which usually happens between 12 to 72 hours after you've eaten the bad eggs.
If you do experience those symptoms of eating the bad eggs you should go to the emergency room or urgent care to get checked out.
The symptoms you have after eating bad eggs could cause a more severe illness including botulism which could potentially be fatal.
So it's best to get checked out and treated just to be safe.
Some forms of food poisoning from eggs and other foods go away on their own within a few days to a week.
However it's best to be seen by urgent care or the emergency room to avoid being even more sick and then possibly dying.
You can test to see if eggs are bad by doing the floating egg test which tells you whether the eggs are bad or good.
You put the egg in a bowl of water and if the egg sinks to the bottom it's good to eat but if the egg floats to the top it's bad and should be thrown out.
If the egg sinks but stands on one end it's still safe to eat but just not as fresh.
