During the Fall and winter months the mosquitoes usually just go hibernate and keep hibernating until spring or summer.

Then when spring and summer come around the mosquitoes then become active again but they don't usually die during the fall and winter although I wish they would die off.

Mosquitoes are cold blooded insects and prefer the temperature to be around 80 F degrees to become active and any temperatures under 80 F degrees the mosquitoes mostly prefer to hibernate and go away for awhile.

However I have seen some mosquitoes out at 65 F if the temperature is forecast to be 80 F or more during the day but even when the temp drops to 65 F at night the mosquitoes are usually still active at night and in the evenings when I'm sitting on my patio.

I use a fan outside to help keep the mosquitoes away from me when I'm on my patio and it works great.

You can also buy some mosquito repellent bracelets which also help to keep mosquitoes away or use some citronella candles.

My neighbor has a mosquito magnet that uses propane to help draw away mosquitoes into the mosquito magnet which then kills them off and they do work.

I wish I could afford one myself because they do work great and I hope to buy one at least next summer.
