When you have air in the power steering pump and power steering system you'll need to let the air out by using the bleed valve on the power steering box.

To locate the power steering bleed valve on the steering box just follow the high pressure power steering line from the power steering pump to the other end, which will be in the power steering box.

Then put a hose on the end of the bleeding valve that is long enough to reach a container outside the vehicle.

Then turn on the engine and let it idle and while it's idling loosen the bleed valve some to let some air and a bit of power steering fluid out.

While the valve is open turn the steering wheel back and forth a few times and then the air should be bled out of the power steering pump.

Then close the bleed valve and add some more fluid to the power steering pump or reservoir to fill it back up.

Also make sure the power steering pump is full of power steering fluid when you do bleed the air out of the system.
