When a dialysis patient has fluid overload it means that the body has too much water which causes high blood pressure.

Fluid overload is usually caused by the failing kidneys who's job is to remove excess fluid from the body and when the kidneys cannot remove the fluid from your body you get overloaded with fluid.

The dialysis machine helps to clean your kidneys and body of toxins and help to remove excess fluid.

But sometimes your body may still get too much fluid and have fluid overload and it you do have fluid overload it would be best to go to urgent care or the emergency room.

Or tell the kidney doctors at the dialysis center that you may be or are experiencing fluid overload and they'll know exactly what to do.
