Yes when you have a cold virus getting out into the fresh air for awhile can help with the cold virus.

When you're staying inside the house you're cooped up in that enclosed space with all the germs floating around in the air.

You can also open the windows and let fresh air into your house and help pus the cold viruses outside and away from you or you can go outside for an hour or so.

Even 30 minutes outside is better for your cold than just staying inside all day.

Fresh air is always good for you when you have a cold or other sickness such as the flu.

The reason most people get colds and flu is due to the circulated air in homes and buildings where people are usually cooped up during the winter months.

So getting fresh air can help alleviate the cold virus and flu virus and make you feel better.
