When on a low carb diet it's best to avoid cheese and dairy products if possible which is best for when you're on a low carb diet.

When you eat cheese on a low carb diet you actually spike the insulin which can be detrimental to the metabolic adaptation that needs to take place in order to reap the full benefits of your low carb diet.

If you must eat a bit of cheese don't eat too much cheese and don't eat the cheese everyday and only take a few bites of cheese every few days when you're on the low carb diet.

However it would be in your best interest to avoid eating any cheese at all during your low carb diet and that goes for any other dairy products as well.

After your low carb diet is over then you can go back to consuming dairy products and eating cheese.
