My grass and lawn needs to be mowed and cut at least once every week if we don't get too much rain or I don't water the grass as often.
If we get more rain or I water the lawn more often to keep it looking good and thriving then I might need to mow the grass twice per week which is usually enough.
Most times I only mow the lawn once per week although I don't mind riding my Zero Turn Lawn Mower and mowing the grass with it as I find it fun.
As long as you're cutting the grass at least once per week you should be okay but if your grass grows faster due to more rain then you might need to cut the grass twice per week.
Don't wait until the grass gets too high because it can be harder on the lawn mower to mow down.
