Can a child outgrow an eye astigmatism?

Yes if the child has the eye astigmatism from 6 months to 1 year of age or at anytime during childhood before age 6 years old then yes most children can and will outgrow the eye astigmatism.

However some children may still suffer from eye astigmatism until later on in the teen years or until they reach adulthood.

And some children have eye astigmatism lifelong and never outgrow it but glasses can sometimes help with the eye astigmatism.

Astigmatism is a medical or technical term for an eye that is optically oval and either the eyeglasses help it or the child outgrows it or the Astigmatism can be corrected using laser eye surgery.
