Astigmatism is the medical term for an eye or eyes that is optically oval which causes people to not see too good.

Astigmatism which is A refractive error caused by the irregularities in the shape of a person's cornea and due to the condition the eye is in because of the Astigmatism the eye fails to focus the light equally on the retina leading to blurred or distorted vision.

Sometimes kids develop the Astigmatism from 6 months to a year of age and usually outgrow the Astigmatism by age 6 years old.

Some people have the Astigmatism lifelong but you can use eyeglasses to correct your vision or you can cure the Astigmatism by having Laser eye surgery which is also known as Lasik Eye Surgery.

Laser Eye Surgery cannot always be done on all people but some people will be able to have Lasik Eye Surgery so if you want to cure the Astigmatism permanently then you should check into getting Lasik eye surgery.
