I have a few of my permanent teeth that are wiggling slightly and the dentist said that it was normal and not to worry.

If your tooth or a few teeth are just slightly wiggling and are not very loose then that's normal however if your teeth are wiggling too much then it could be caused by periodontal disease or damage to the tooth or gums causing the tooth to become too loose.

If the tooth just moves a little it's okay and normal for some peoples teeth to wiggle a little bit but they should not be very loose and if they are then you likely have a tooth that is trying to fall out.
