A dog licking it's paws can sometimes be caused by health issues such as a yeast infection.

However sometimes the dog licking it's paws may be just because the dog is cleaning it's paws off like they use their tongues to clean other parts of their body naturally.

If your dog just licks it's paws occasionally then there's usually nothing to worry about and it's likely just the dog cleaning it's paws.

However if the dog constantly licks it's paws too much then I would advise if possible to take the dog to the vet to have it checked out for infections such as a yeast infection which can be treated.

Your dog could also be licking it's paws because it has ear issues, stinky skin or weight issues.
