After a person has been released from prison the felony stays on public record and the background check for up to 7 years.
After 7 years of being released from prison the felony should not show up on your background check or public record.
So after 10 years the felony should not show up at all on your background check so if it's been 10 years since the release from prison then the felony should be removed from your record.
That means that no employers should see your felony when they perform the background check.
