Taking ashwagandha daily is usually perfectly okay and safe and the recommended dosage of ashwagandha is between 450–500 mg capsules once or twice per day.
However it's not usually safe to continue taking ashwagandha daily long term but instead most people only take ashwagandha short term which is for a few months at a time.
Then they stop taking the ashwagandha for another few months and then start taking them again for a few more months.
Some people who take ashwagandha may experience some side effects such as headache, sleepiness, and stomach upset which are usually mild to moderate.
If you experience those side effects you should see a doctor and talk to them about the dosage.
