New ignition coils are usually warranted for at least 24,000 miles but the ignition coils usually last longer than that.

Most ignition coils on vehicles are rated to last as long as 100,000 miles and sometimes longer but even then it's a good idea just for preventative maintenance to replace the ignition coil at 100,000 miles to prevent a break down.

I always replace the ignition coils on my vehicles at 100,000 miles just to keep the vehicle from breaking down as you do not want to wait until the ignition coil actually fails because your vehicle will not run or start.

So even if the ignition coils or ignition coil is still working at 100,000 miles I would just replace it regardless just for peace of mind.
