Most dishwashers including my dishwasher uses 1,200 watts per hour so if I run my dishwasher for 1 hour it would costs me 10 cents because my electricity costs is 10 cents per KWH which is 1,000 watts.
So you would spend around 10 cents to 20 cents at most to run a load of dishes through a dishwasher which is pretty darn cheap and much easier than washing dishes by hand.
You could work an hour on a job for $10.00 per hour and make more than that in an hour and let your dishwasher run the dishes through the wash cycle and make more money doing something else.
I hate doing dishes so I always just use my dishwasher instead.
