What happens if I don't pay my electricity bill?

My electric bill for this month and last month is $300.00 probably due to the central air conditioner running a lot.

I can't pay all of that right now and can only afford about $200.00 of it this month.

Can I pay part of it now and then part of it next month or will they shut me off if I don't pay it all at once?

If you don't pay anything on your electric bill then they'll eventually shut your electric off.

Call up your electric company and see if they will work out a payment arrangement with you to get it paid off.

At least try to send something as it's better to send some money instead of nothing at all.

Most electric companies will work with you to keep your electric on and avoid shutting it off as it cost them money to roll the truck out to cut your power off and they would rather get there money and keep you as a customer if at all possible.
