The word extensive means a lot.
So when you have extensive experience in something it means that you're really knowledgeable in that area that you're working or whatever you're doing.
So say you have extensive experience in automobile repairs it means that you have very good experience in working on those automobiles and can likely easily fix any problems with it.
So it's a good thing when you do have extensive experience in something.
