Yes diesel heaters do produce carbon monoxide and should not be used as a sole heat source inside your home.

However you can heat a garage with the diesel heater but you should leave the garage door open just a crack to allow the fresh air to get into the garage and allow the carbon monoxide to get out of the garage.

Make sure the diesel heater is adjusted properly and operating properly and you should have no problems using the Kerosene heater indoors in a garage.

But I would not use it inside a house unless you need to for emergency heat and even then you need to open a window a crack to allow fresh air inside the home.

Any heater that uses fuel in liquid form or propane produces carbon monoxide when it burns and if not vented the carbon monoxide can be deadly.

But electric heaters do not produce any carbon monoxide.
