To prevent your shower drain from clogging it's a good idea to every few weeks or at least once per month take some baking soda and pour it down the shower drain.
Then pour some vinegar down the drain after putting the baking soda in the drain.
Cover the shower drain and let it work for 30 minutes and then pour boiling water down the shower drain and it there's any hair in the shower drain then the baking soda and vinegar will dissolve the hair in the drain.
You can also use Drano every once in awhile to keep the shower drain clear.
Then use a shower drain protector that goes into the shower drain and has tiny holes to allow the water to get through however the hair and anything else will not be able to get through the shower drain protector which clogs the drain.
