When you have a drain that is clogged and the drain has standing water such as in a sink or bathtub you need to first remove that standing water using buckets or a hand pump to bail the water out of the drain, sink or bathtub.

You can go to home depot and buy a cheap hand pump that will suck the standing water out of the sink, bathtub or other drain.

Then you can use some Drano in the drain or pour some baking soda and vinegar down the drain and let it work on the clogged for 30 minutes to an hour.

Cover the drain during the time the baking soda and vinegar is working on the clog.

Then get some water boiling in a pot and then pour the boiling water down the drain to help clear the clog.

If the clog still doesn't clear then the clog could be further down the drain somewhere and you might need to snake the drain or find a clean out which could be in the basement if you have one or in the crawlspace.
