The two primary bronchi that us humans have are attached to our lungs and the bronchi are essentially airways like highways that shuttle air from our nose and mouth down to our lungs so that we can breathe.
Without those two primary bronchi being attached to our lungs we would not be able to breathe at all.
The left bronchus is smaller in size but longer than the right bronchus, being nearly 5 cm. long.
