How long have disposable diapers been around? When were disposable diapers invented?

The first disposable baby diaper was invented in the year 1948 "nearly 70 years ago" by a woman named Valerie Hunter Gordon.

A lot of people still used cloth diapers back then though until they became a bit cheaper.
