At one time some years ago I believe that Oklahoma and other states made it illegal to collect rainwater but I think the illegal part of collecting rainwater had to do with people collecting large amounts of the rain water which messed with the natural water supply for everyone else.

However it's now not illegal to catch rainwater in Oklahoma for home and personal use and you do not require a permit to harvest and collect rainwater at your home.

All you need to do is get a rainwater barrel or rainwater collection tank and start collecting rainwater such as rainwater that runs off your roof and into your gutters.

Rainwater makes good water for watering your garden with and it's free except for buying the rainwater barrels or rainwater tanks.
