As humans we breathe in a lot of air and expel a lot of air without even thinking about it.
On average people take in at least 16 to 17 breathes per minute without even realizing you're breathing in that much.
If we take in 16 breathes per minute that would mean that we take in 960 breathes per hour or as many as 23,040 breathes per day.
That would equate to 8,409,600 in a year or if you live to be 80 years old you would take in as many as 672,768,000 breaths in your lifetime.
So we take in a staggering amount of breathes in our lifetimes and per day without even thinking about it at all even though breathing is a very important thing to sustain life.
