Pot Metal is not made from steel so no the Pot Metal will not stick and if your metal seems like Pot Metal but does stick to a magnet then it's not actually Pot Metal.
Pot Metal is basically an aluminum alloy that is mostly zinc and not entirely aluminum so it can be hard for scrap metal yards to buy the scrap pot metal.
I used to be able to sell pot metal to the scrap yard here but they stopped taking it so it now goes in a shred pile of metal instead.
The Pot Metal is barely worth anything alone anyway unless you have lots of it and even then it's not worth a whole lot.
