The Shard is a pretty tall building standing at a height of 1,016 feet to the very tip top of the shard.
And the Empire State building stands at a height of 1,454 feet to the tip top of the Empire State Building.
So yes that makes the Empire State Building taller than the Shard.
The Shard however is currently the tallest building in London.
But even then the Eiffel Tower is a bit taller than the Shard and stands at a height of 1,063 feet tall to the tip even though the Eiffel Tower is not an actual building though.
