If you pour grease down the sink drain then you need to run some hot water down the drain.

You can also sometimes get grease out of a sink drain by pouring some baking down the drain and then pouring some vinegar in after the baking soda.

Then cover the sink drain and let the vinegar and baking soda work for 30 minutes and then run some boiling hot water down the drain.

Sometimes that will help get rid of the grease in the sink drain and if not you may need to take the trap loose under the sink and clean the grease out of the trap manually.

Using Drano in the sink drain can also melt the grease out of the sink drain but if you have a garbage disposable then don't use the Drano because it could harm the garbage disposal.

I've gotten grease out of a drain using the vinegar, baking soda and boiling hot water and it worked great at dissolving the grease in the sink drain.

Always be careful to avoid adding grease to the sink drain because it can be hard to get it out and sometimes you might need to resort to calling a plumber which can be costly.

Plus the grease can eventually clog your main drain line as well.
