The main benefit that you get from fasting or intermittent fasting is weight loss.

Most people who are trying to lose weight start intermittent fasting which helps there body lose weight because their body goes into fat burning mode when you're not eating any other food during the intermittent fasting.

So by your body eating it's fat it means that you lose the weight overtime.

Fasting also helps to detox your body, boost your metabolism and helps stop the aging process.

Aside from that fasting can also help you improve your brain health and prevent some neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

So not only do you lose weight when fasting you also improve your overall health.

Just don't overdo the intermittent fasting as it can lead to harmful health problems but if you're doing the intermittent fasting properly and not overdoing it then the intermittent fasting is great for your health.
