If you're just working as a computer programmer because it is paying you good and you wanted a job that paid good and learned computer programming then you go to work and you only do the computer programming for a paycheck and you don't really enjoy the programming of computers and computer software then yes it can be boring.
But some people who are computer programmers can easily sit there all day and type out code and program computers and computer software and never get bore of it.
If the computer programming job is boring to you then it's probably not the right job for you but if it pays good and you took the time to learn the computer programming then I would probably stay with the computer programming job because hardly any other jobs pay as much as a computer programming job does.
Any job can be boring if you don't enjoy doing what you're doing.
I would also say that the job of a computer programmer has got to be stressful because there could be many things going wrong with the code that you have to fix in a timely manner but I'm not sure as I'm not a computer programmer.
