Tomato plants will usually continue to produce tomatoes until the cold season happens and then when that happens the tomato plants usually die off.
I've never experienced any tomato plants coming back the next year and reproducing more tomatoes so in my experience the tomato plants do not come back every year and need to have new tomato plants or tomato seeds planted to get new tomatoes.
So you can expect the tomato plants to produce tomatoes until the growing season is over and then after that you will need to plant fresh tomato plants to get more tomatoes.
