If the dogs teeth cleaning is just a routine thing or cosmetic etc then the pet health insurance will not cover those costs and those costs of routine teeth cleaning have to come out of your pocket.
The pet insurance will usually cover emergency dental work on your dog but not routine dental work to keep the teeth and mouth healthy.
Also not all pet health insurance covers dental work on the dog so be sure to check with the pet insurance company and your policy to be sure you're covered.
