If you have a tight screw that won't come out sometimes you can get the screw to come loose by putting the screwdriver onto the screw and then hit the screwdriver handle with the hammer.

Sometimes that jolt to the screw will loosen it up and it will come out.

You should also soak the screw threads with the PB Blaster or WD-40 which can sometimes get it to come out.

Also if you can try gripping the screw with a pair of vise grips and then it sometimes may come loose.

If still no luck then you may have to just use a metal drill bit and drill the screw out and then re tap the hole for the screw.
