When your TPMS light comes on then you should manually check the tire pressure in all four tires to ensure they're properly inflated.
If the tires are too low in air pressure and you continue to drive it could eventually cause a blowout and possible wreck that could cause serious injury or death.
However if the TPMS Light remains on even when the tires are properly inflated then something could be wrong with the TPMS system and you should have the dealer or a mechanic check it out to fix it.
If the TPMS light flashes for 1 to 1.5 minutes after you start the vehicle and then the TPMS light remains on then it means that the TPMS system is not functioning properly and needs checked out by a mechanic or the dealer.
