The amount of time that violations will stay on and affect your auto insurance rates is between 3 to 5 years depending on the insurance company and the state you're in.

Some insurance companies will only keep the violations on and affecting your insurance rates for a period of 3 years while other insurance companies may still consider the violations for up to 5 years.

In any case the violations do no affect your insurance with any insurance company after 5 years although like I said sometimes it will only affect your insurance for 3 years.
