If the gasoline fire is just small and hasn't spread to far then putting some dirt on it or smothering it with a wet cloth etc can help.

Also water can put out a gasoline fire if the gasoline fire is small and hasn't grown too large.

If the gasoline fire gets too out of control it's best to contact the fire department to put out the fire because that is what they're there for.

The fire department is very knowledgeable in putting out all types of fires.

Water can put out even a large gasoline fire but you need enough water that comes out of a fire department hose to put the fire out.

They also have other ways of putting the fire out so if you cannot use water or the dirt to smother the gasoline fire before it gets too bad then contact 911 and get the fire department there to put it out.
