The Flash Point of Kerosene is between 100 F and 150 F and has an auto ignition temperature of 428 F.

So if the Kerosene is around temperatures of 428 F it can self ignite without any assistance.

The Flash Point is the temperature at which the vapors of the liquid or material will ignite when an ignition source is applied to it such as a lighter or match.

Kerosene will easily ignite when you apply a match to it.
