As a pathologists you're considered to be a doctors doctor since you mostly interact with the patients doctor and not the patient directly.

A pathologist is a real doctor but they mostly work in a medical lab doing tests that are sent into them by other doctors that see the patients.

Pathologists spend their time mostly in the medical lab doing diagnosis and management of disease through laboratory tests.

So the tests are sent to the lab where a pathologists performs the tests and then sends it back to the doctor you see where you get your results.
