You usually have around 10 to 20 days to pay up on your car insurance premiums before they cancel your auto insurance policy.

The auto insurance company has to by law contact you before they cancel your auto insurance policy and they usually allow from 10 to 20 days to pay up for the car insurance premiums before they lapse your auto insurance and cancel it.

So as long as you pay the auto insurance bill within 10 days you should be good to go without having the auto insurance canceled.
