Having no car insurance is considered a secondary offense and the police would not be able to pull you over for the no insurance alone.

The police would have to find some other violation that you're doing or if you have an expired registration and then the police could pull you over.

Then they could give you a ticket for no car insurance and no vehicle registration and they could also tow your vehicle and impound the vehicle until you pay all the fees.

Driving without insurance is not advised as the potential fines and consequences would cost you more than just paying for the auto insurance.
