Wikipedia is not running out of money to keep the website Wikipedia going and they have enough money to keep Wikipedia online for many years yet.
Each year Wikipedia raises enough money through donations to cover their operating costs for the entire year and still have some money leftover.
So no Wikipedia doesn't really need your money but donating to them if you can is still okay to help keep them funded for many years.
But if a few people do not donate to Wikipedia it's not gonna disappear at least for now or many years from now.
Wikipedia is probably gonna be around for many years yet even if you cannot donate to them.
