Yes being hungry can increase your blood pressure because your body fat that your body is feeding off of puts a strain on your heart to help keep the blood flowing and the insulin that is naturally produced is another reason for high blood pressure when being hungry.

In some people being hungry and fasting can lower the blood pressure instead of raising the blood pressure but it can go either way depending on the person and how hungry the person is.

Stress and Anxiety are another few causes of high blood pressure so you need to do your best to calm down and avoid stress and anxiety as much as possible.

If blood pressure continues to be too high it can lead to heart disease, heart attacks, strokes and even death so you should always keep a check on your blood pressure and get it lowered if it is high.

Normal blood pressure readings are usually 120 over 80 but sometimes can be 135 over 85 but if your blood pressure rises above 135 over 85 you need to get it lowered and if it doesn't lower at home you need to seek medical attention.
