Yes it's possible for some mice to learn to avoid mouse traps especially if the mice sees other mice caught and killed in those traps.
The mice will then see that trap as a bad thing "which it is for them" and then stay away from the mouse trap which makes it hard for you to catch other mice.
Always constantly check your mouse traps and see if a mouse has been caught in them and remove the dead mouse as soon as possible so that hopefully other mice won't see the dead mouse in the trap and then avoid the mouse trap.
If the mice are avoiding snap mouse traps then you may have to use glue traps that the mouse gets stuck too instead.
Just place a bit of food in the center of the glue trap and the mouse will be lured to the glue trap and get stuck on it.
