Driving in 60 MPH winds can be done and you can make it to your destination safely in 60 MPH winds and I have driven in 60 MPH winds myself but I will not do so unless I need too.
If I don't have to be out on the road in 60 MPH winds or high winds in general then I just stay put and keep my car parked.
The high winds make it more difficult to keep control of your vehicle and can even blow a semi into your or blow your car into an oncoming lane.
Many people do drive safely in 60 MPH and higher winds but it's not recommended unless you absolutely have too.
