If you miss the flight because of your own fault then no you cannot usually get a refund for the airline ticket.
You can sometimes schedule another flight with that ticket the next time it boards but you might have to pay another small fee to reschedule your flight from the previous ticket.
If the flight you miss is caused by weather delays or some mechanical problems with the plane you can get a refund on the airline ticket but not because of a missed flight you missed by your own fault.
So if you believe you're gonna miss a flight you need to contact the airline to get it rescheduled before the flight takes off because then you might get a refund but not if you don't contact them.
