Before a storm happens the barometric pressure will start to fall downward.

So if the barometric pressure starts to fall you can usually expect a storm to come or some other bad weather.

Now when the barometric pressure begins to rise and continues to rise then it's usually a very good sign that some great or good weather is on it's way.

But when you notice the barometric pressure dropping you can expect a storm to come soon or other bad weather.
