Chickens and Quail can live together alongside each other in the same coop.
But when you put chickens and quails near each other they should be divided to keep them from actually coming into contact with each other.
They should not be in the same exact pen but they can live alongside each other though.
Also since quails can fly away they cannot be free ranged like chickens can and chickens and Quail should not intermingle.
