Yes soaking in a hot bath can help with pulled muscles by relaxing the muscles.
The heat from the hot water in the bath deep heats the muscles better than a heating pad and relieves tension of the muscles.
Whenever I have a pulled muscle I soak in a hot relaxing bath and the pain just starts to go away and the muscles feel much better.
A heating pad helps some but the hot bath does a better job at fixing the pulled muscles and the hot bath is just relaxing as well.
