Most cysts are usually nothing to worry about and will go away on their own without any surgery or other medical treatment.
However some cysts may require surgery to remove them if it's a larger cysts and your doctor will be able to advise you whether the cyst you have requires surgery or whether the cyst you have will go away on it's own.
I had a cyst on my wrist and the doctor said that it would just go away on it's own within time and it did go away on it's own.
The cyst I had went away within 3 months like the doctor said it would.
If the cyst doesn't go away within 3 months then you might need surgery to remove it but most times the cyst does go away on it's own.
